Description: Steps to export experiments in bulk through the ScienceCloud.

Solutions: Below are the instructions to export experiments in bulk through the ScienceCloud.

ScienceCloud now allows Team Permission Administrators to access the Experiments Export feature through the ScienceCloud administration portal.

Remark: This article applies to both Experiments and Notebook. The Experiments user will see the "Experiments" menu and the Notebook users will see "Notebook" instead.

Step 1: Click on Wrench for Administrators

Step 2: Click on Export Data (which can be under Experiments)

Step 3: The Export Experiments Data screen displays any previous export requests, including:

  1. the requester

  2. the request submission date

  3. the time the archive operation completed.

  • If there are too many archive requests to list, the FirstPreviousNext, and/or Last buttons will be enabled to allow the user to page through the list of requests.

  • If an archive request has been completed, the Download link will download the ZIP file of exported Experiments data to the user’s computer.

  • If an archive request has not been completed, clicking on the Stop link will halt the export in progress.  Stopped export requests are not available for download.

  • If an archive request has a status of Failed, an error occurred during the export process.  Please contact support for troubleshooting assistance.

  • Clicking on the trash can icon will remove both the request and associated archive file (if any) from ScienceCloud.

Step 4: Clicking on the +New Export link displays the export options window as shown:

  • The New Export dialog allows the user to filter some data from the generated archive.

    • From – Experiments with a last edited date prior to this date are excluded.

    • To – Experiments with a last edited date later than this date are excluded.

    • User – If no users are selected, export experiment data authored by all users.  If users are selected, it limits the exported data to experiments authored by the selected users.

    • Project – If no projects are selected, export experiment data from all projects.  If projects are selected, it limits the exported data to experiments associated with the selected projects.

  • To begin the export process, click the Export button.  The New Export window will close, and the Export Experiments Data page will update to display the new export request.
