Pipeline pilot 2022 errors on installing chemistry collection

Description: Having problems installing PP2022. It's being installed as a new instance, copying settings from PP2021.
This is on windows server 2016 data center under the admin account. It completes the install, however the chemistry collection is not installed.

Solution: This is caused by a missing Microsoft redistributable system file (msvcp140_1.dll) which is required by QT5core.dll (the library used for chemistry graphics).

  • See the below link for workaround (downloading and applying the latest vc_redist.x64.exe from Microsoft, then rerunning the installation)

Note: Visual C++ Redistributable Packages have always been a prerequisite for Direct Windows installations. This is mentioned in the System Requirements for Direct.
