Question:

What happens if my computer is defective (license is blocked on the server for 30 days) and there are no free licenses left on the server?

Answer:

If you want to use the license on the defective computer before the 30 days have expired, you can apply for a temporary license. Please send your request by e-mail to licence@technia.com.

 

Question:

I have a Q-Checker JT Connector license. How can I change my license to LiteComply?

Answer:

Q-Checker JT licenses for the Daimler JTSP are replaced by LiteComplyJT Interactive licenses. Please contact your sales partner for further information.

Question:

Can I use a VM as license server?

Answer:

Virtual machines are not supported.

 

Question:

Is there a way to select a different licensing type than FlexNet?

Answer:

Lite3D products are exclusively licensed with FlexNet. Other licensing mechanisms are not supported.

 

License Types
==============

 

a) single seat license
---------------------

A single seat license is fixed to a specific machine and can only be used on that machine.

No license server is required.

Multiple users can use the license on this machine.

b) Seat-based license
--------------------

Seat based licenses are provided by a central license server.

By starting the LiteComply software on a computer, one of these server licenses is assigned to this computer and the respective user (locked for 30 days).

The holding period is renewed at each program start if the license server is available.

Outside the company network (LAN), the application can be used offline for a maximum of 30 days.

If Lite3D is not used for 30 days, the license becomes available on the server for other users.

 

Example:

  • 10 licenses are available.

  • Users A, B and C use LiteComply regularly. The holding period is renewed at every program start                  => 7 free licenses are available

  • User X uses LiteComply offline                  => 6 free licenses are available

  • User Y tests LiteComply for a few days                 => 5 free licenses are available

  • After 30 days the license of user X expires and becomes available for other users                                => 6 free licenses are available

  • After user Y has not used LiteComply for 30 days, the license becomes available for other users        => 7 free licenses are available

  • User X reconnects to the network and starts LiteComply             => 6 free licenses are available
