EN: Modifying Serial Key in SNL Server

When you add new license of Solidworks/Draftsight in your organization or you need to change the serial key in your Solid Network License Manager Server, you may face an issue that you will not be able to use the your license on Client System. There should be an error message that “could not obtained license for Solidworks Standard/ draftsight.

In this case you need to either enter your new serial key or reactivate the SNL Server.

You can follow the below mentioned step:

  1. Go to Control Panel > Program and Feature.

  2. Select Solid Network License Manager Server and click on change.

  3. Select Modify.

  4. Click on Install Button.

  5. Remove the existing serial or add a new key by using separator as comma(,)

  6. Once the modification has been done.

  7. Open the Solid Network License Manager and click on modify.

    Click on Activate/ reactivate License.

  9. Select the Serial key and fill the email id and click next.

    Open Solid Network Manager License Server again and click on start button under server administration tab.
