EN: Create Embossed Text in CATIA V5

Question:

How to create embossed text in Catia V5

Answer:

Start CATIA

Go to Part Design

Create a new part:

Go to sketcher and sketch below drawing,

Create a pad of 20mm thick

Again open a new drafting,

Click Ok

Create a new View

Click on Text

Create below text,

Save the drawing as DXF

Now open the DXF file

Copy the main view

Go back to Part and paste the view in Partbody

Position the sketch accordingly to fit the part

Exit the sketcher workbench

Select Pad option with required specification

Embossed text is ready,

P.S Kindly select below option for DXF export for this methodology to work,

Go to Tools>Options>General>Compatibility>DXF and set export mode to Graphic(See below pic)
