Please note:
The extracted nodelock license (*.LIC file in the directory C:\ProgramData\DassaultSystemes\Licenses) is protected by a very sensitive copy protection mechanism.
Therefore, this LIC file must not be changed under any circumstances.
Even a backup of the file or a virus scan in this directory can lead to the license becoming invalid.
Please therefore take measures to prevent a backup and virus scan of the directoryC:\ProgramData\DassaultSystemes\Licenses.
The problem is described by the vendor in QA article QA00000040686 in the Dassault Systèmes Knowledgebase.
We also recommend reducing the default value of the extracting duration from 30 days to a really necessary maximum (e.g. 5-7 days) using the DSLS Admin Tool, Permissions tab.
Furthermore, we advise you to select the Ethernet Network Adapter for generating the DSLS Computer ID before the first extraction process with CATIA Nodelock Key Management, "Properties" tab
You can make a change using the Change Network-Adapter used for Computer-ID button. To do this, you must start Nodelock Key Management as an administrator.
We also recommend to deactivate the power-saving mechanism of the selected Ethernet Network Adapter in the Windows Device Manager in order to achieve stable operation in the laptop's battery mode.
On modern laptops with a Thunderbolt docking station, the docking station usually has its own built-in Ethernet Network Adapter. To ensure that the DSLS computer ID does not change between docked mode and undocked mode, it is important to find a setting in the UEFI BIOS of your laptop that passes through the MAC address of your laptop in docked mode. This setting is called something different depending on the manufacturer. In the example shown below, the setting is called "MAC Address Pass Through".
How to check out a license:

Start > All Programs > CATIA > Nodelock Key Management V5-6R20XX
Click Offline Management Tab
Click the RefreshList button
Select the license you want to check out from the list and right-click > Extract
Set the number of days you need the license and click OK
After validation, the license is extracted.
