BRIGADE cannot connect to license server system
Question
I cannot start BRIGADE. When I am asked to specify the License Server System I type in the name of my license server (HostName). I then get an error at start-up that says: “Failed to checkout tokens(s). Cannot connect to license server system. The server (lmgrd) has not been started yet,…”, see below, see below:

The error message states that it cannot contact the license server. The license server is a so called service. Most often this error occurs because the license server / service is not running. To check the status of the BRIGADE FlexNet License Service that mange the BRIGADE licenses, type in “services” in the Windows taskbar search field and open “Services”
In Services, find the Service “BRIGADE FlexNet License Service” in the list. If it is empty in the Status columns it means that the service is not running. Right click on the BRIGADE FlexNet License Service line and choose Start.
This should result in the service starting up. If the service started correctly it then says “Running” in the Status Column.
