SQL error while installing SOLIDWORKS Electrical

Problem

Microsoft SQL Server failed to install with error “The specified sa password does not meet strong password requirements.”

For more information about strong password requirements, see "Database
Engine Configuration - Account Provisioning"

Solution

This error comes when you use weak password for SA while installing SOLDIWORKS Electrical

  1. In SOLDIWORKS Installation Manager, On Product Selection page, Click “Change” in-front of “Electrical Options”

  2. Change the password from default “SQLpw4ew” to a strong password that meets Domain password
    complexity.(May be your current network password)

  3. Go back and continue the installation.

If you do not use SOLDIWORKS Electrical at all, please uncheck “SOLIDWORKS Electrical” from selected products. (Click “Change” in-front of “Products” > Uncheck “SOLIDWORKS Electrical”
