Default properties are missing in Property tab.

In this article we will see why the Properties are missing or blank in the Custom Property tab and how to solve it.

Solution:

This is due to the properties.txt file not being found. Please go to Tools > Options > System Options > File Locations and select "Custom Property File" from the drop down. Either place the file in the directory listed or add the following 'default' directories where the property file resides.

C:\ProgramData\SOLIDWORKS\SOLIDWORKS 20XX\lang\english

Where X indicates the corresponding year for the installations.
