EN: 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher cannot be installed

EN: 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher cannot be installed

Problem description:
3DEXPERIENCE desktop apps (or native apps) cannot be opened via the web (3DCompass).

Cause:
Starting with Google Chrome version 142 and Microsoft Edge version 143, browsers now prompt users to allow or block access to the local network when a website attempts to connect to an application or service running on the local machine.

The 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher requires this connection in order to launch desktop applications from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
If the connection is blocked or denied, the launcher fails – often resulting in an endless loop or a repeated prompt to “Download 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher”.

Possible Solution

Allow access to the local network when prompted while starting the 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher.

If no pop-up message appears, right-click on “View site information” in the browser and enable the “Local network” permission.
